1. Swayambhunath Temple

In the Swaymbhu Purana (Buddhist Scripture), the valley once held a great lake that grew a lotus. The name “Swayambhu” comes from an eternal flame that later became a Swayambhu and Swayambhunath. In the Kathmandu valley, west of Kathmandu city, on top of a hill stands the historic religious place know as Swayambhu

2. Boudhanath Stupa 

A stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal, called Boudha is also referred to as Boudhanath, Khasti Chaitya, and Khasa Chaitya. One of Nepal’s and the world’s largest spherical stupas, it is about 11 km northeast of kathmandu’s center on the city’s. The Boudha Stupa has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. It is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the vicinity of Kathmandu, along with Swayambhu.

3. Pashupatinath Temple 

Pashupatinath Temple is a Hindu Temple devoted to Lord Shiva, and is located in Kathmandu, Nepal. This Temple was classified as a World Heritage Site in 1979. The massive are of the temple is glorious for sightseeing, natural short hiking and other religious activities.

4. Changu Narayan Temple 

The Changu Narayan Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it is located at east of Kathmandu in Bhaktapur. Changu Narayan Temple is famous for stone carvings, wood beauty. Changu Narayan is situated 11 km to east of Kathmandu.The temple consists of two-story pagoda style consists of Lord Vishnu and crafted by stone carvings and statues.

5. Dakshinkali Temple 

Dakshinkali temple is situated at 17 km south of Kathmandu valley. This is the temple of Dakshinkali (Goddess Kali) mai and Mother temple ( Dakshinkali mai). The temple was built by King Pratap Malla. Dakshinkali Temple is famous for animal sacrifices, hiking destinations, religious destinations.

6. Budhanilkantha Temple

Budhanilkantha temple in Kathmandu, has a floating statue of a Lord Vishnu. The temple (House of Lord Bishnu) is 10 km away from Kathmandu city at the base of Shivapuri Hills. A big fair is held at every year on the Ekadashi, Harishayani and Haribodhini.
